Release of the EmoSociograms Psychometric tool

We are pleased to announce the release of the EmoSociograms psychometric tool, after months of dedicated efforts for its development. EmoSociograms supports assessment of social and emotional skills of students at individual and group level. Our aim was to design a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) assessment tool that is efficient, user-friendly, and simple to use. You can now easily access it at https://emosociograms.com.

In more detail, EmoSociograms is an open-source tool that supports sociometric and emotional intelligence assessment processes. It provides teachers an easy way to register their classroom, select and activate questionnaires from a list of emotional intelligence and social interaction assessment measures, run evaluation campaigns and continuously track the evolution of social and emotional competencies of their classroom through interactive visualizations.

EmoSociograms is currently used for validation purposes in primary and secondary education schools in Spain, Greece, Romania and Cyprus. Valuable feedback is envisaged to be collected for validation purposes and potential improvements in the upcoming period.

EmoSociograms is not limited to supporting classrooms only, as it can also be a useful tool for any social group comprising individuals aged between 6-8, 9-12, 13-18, and 18+ years. This means that various groups, including sports teams, work teams, and mental health teams, can use EmoSociograms to evaluate their social and emotional skills. Additionally, EmoSociograms facilitates individual emotional assessment without the need to belong to any particular team.
