Our sixth and final in-person project meeting took place at the National Technical University of Athens on January 30 and 31, within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The primary goal of this meeting was to assess the impact of EduCardia in enhancing students’ social and emotional competencies across K-12 schools. Over the past three years, the program has been implemented in various educational settings, and this gathering provided an invaluable opportunity to reflect on its progress. Representatives from Greece, Spain, Romania, and Cyprus presented their findings, offering a comprehensive overview of how EduCardia has influenced students’ growth.
During the meeting, each team shared insights and data from their respective regions, allowing for a deeper understanding of EduCardia’s effectiveness. Additionally, we reviewed the final project deliverables, including the EduCardia Handbook for teachers and the official release of our digital tools, such as EmoSociograms and the EduCardia SEL repository. These resources are designed to support educators in creating a more engaging and nurturing learning environment, ensuring that students continue to benefit from the program beyond the project’s official conclusion.
Our team remains dedicated to sustaining and enhancing all EduCardia materials and tools even after the project’s completion, with the goal of maximizing its long-term impact on the educational community. A heartfelt thank-you goes to NTUA for hosting this significant final meeting. We all left feeling inspired and eager to carry forward the momentum we have built, reinforcing our commitment to fostering social and emotional learning in schools.
